Today, on December 18, the lights of the main Christmas tree of the country were solemnly lit on Sophia Square in Kyiv. This year, the height of the tree reaches 31 meters, and the scenery around it is dedicated to the Christmas miracle night.

The Christmas tree was decorated with 20 red-gold toys and 62 LEDs. Today it is a world record.

Also on the Christmas tree there is a garland 10 kilometers long, which stretched out in the form of a dome.

The main Christmas tree of the country was lit at 18:00, and a fair town for visitors to Sofiyivska Square was opened nearby.

Near the Christmas tree, the largest nativity scene in Europe was set up. Also during the New Year holidays of the New Year's beauty, photo zones, children's entertainment, a workshop, a museum of New Year's decorations, food courts and warm areas for recreation will traditionally work.

Around the monument to Bogdan Khmelnytsky there will be a skating rink designed in the form of a tunnel. Artists will entertain guests from the stage with performances and competitions for children and adults.
