Zelensky replaced the heads of state administrations in Odessa and Cherkassy regions with military personnel
Ukraine is gradually moving towards governance under martial law by introducing military-civilian administrations.

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky replaced the heads of the Odessa and Cherkasy regional state administrations. He signed the corresponding decrees on March 1.
Instead of Sergei Grinevetsky Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration appointed career soldier, colonel Maxim Marchenko, and instead of Alexandra Skichko Chairman of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration - Maj.-Gen. Igor Taburets.
Maxim Marchenko was born on February 10, 1983 in Slavyansk, Donetsk region. In 2005 he graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Tank Forces. He served from platoon commander to deputy commander of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. In 2015-2017 was the commander of the 24th separate assault battalion "Aidar". He was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnytsky II degree for his skillful command of troops in the combat zone in eastern Ukraine.
Igor Taburets was born on December 6, 1973 and is a regular military man. For a long time he worked in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. Prior to his appointment as head of the regional administration, he was an adviser to the current head Alexandra Skichko. He is also an adviser to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
This is not the first appointment of a military man to the post of head of the Regional State Administration. So, yesterday Zelensky said that the military administration of Kyiv will be headed by General Zhirnov.
These appointments indicate that Ukraine is gradually transitioning to government under martial law, the timing of which cannot currently be predicted. A similar form of administration was previously introduced in the Ukrainian-controlled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, where military-civilian administrations were also introduced.
