Payments to IDPs are delayed again: what to do and where to apply for the necessary assistance?

Despite the fact that the government of Ukraine has repeatedly stated that all internally displaced persons will receive their payments, the problem still persists. So, many Ukrainians did not receive money even for April. In this regard, the Ministry of Reintegration clarifiedWhat to do if payments are delayed.

According to the ministry, payments of state assistance to internally displaced persons are accrued three times a month: on the 3rd, 12th and 23rd, and the payment itself is made once a month. If there are delays and payments are not received for more than a month, these are technical problems that should be fixed as soon as possible.

Citizens who have delayed payments should contact the social security authority at the place of actual residence and find out the reason for this delay. They are obliged to accept you - regardless of where you are registered. This feature is only available to those IDPs who applied for assistance before April 30, 2022.

It is noted that it is better to come in person, because filing an application through "Diya" may be inefficient due to the large number of applications: the authorities processing them often simply cannot cope.

Employees of the social body are obliged to accept the application and consider it even if the applicant cannot prove that he has already tried unsuccessfully to receive assistance before.

If you have any problems with applying directly, you can contact the Ministry of Reintegration:

  • by hotline number 1548;
  • or to the department responsible for access to public information and citizens' appeals by numbers: +38 (044) 355-14-67, +38 (080) 075-01-07;
  • or to the hotline for calls from abroad and with TOT, WhatsApp / Telegram / Viber +38 (096) 078-84-33;
  • or call the IDP Commissioner's hotline +38 (066) 813-62-39.

Acceptance of repeated applications for IDP payments will last until December 1, 2022.

According to the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk, the state is currently not only trying to ensure timely payments to all displaced persons, but also additionally cooperating with international humanitarian organizations so that IDPs in a new place can adapt, settle down and find work.

Recall that people registered as IDPs can receive assistance in the following amounts:

  • 3 thousand hryvnia - children and persons with disabilities;
  • 2 thousand hryvnia - all the rest.

Previously, we wrote that in Ukraine officially recognized the fact of delays in the payment of pensions, and told that Not everyone will receive 15 million hryvnias for a dead soldier.
