Shooting in the Dnepropetrovsk region: a conscript soldier who staged a massacre at Yuzhmash will be judged

According to the investigation, on January 27, 2022, a conscript soldier was included in the protection of the territory of the state enterprise “VO Southern Machine-Building Plant named after A.M. Makarov".

During the night, he stole the weapons from the room where they were stored and started shooting. As a result, four of his colleagues and a civilian employee of the enterprise were killed. Another five servicemen received injuries of varying severity.

After the perfect shooter fled the place of service along with weapons. However, he was detained by law enforcement officers.

The accused is charged with violation of the statutory rules of relations, murder and attempted murder of two or more persons, theft of weapons, desertion, as well as violation of the statutory rules of guard duty and illegal handling of weapons.

He told law enforcement officers that the problems in the team in which he worked began at the end of November 2021, and this allegedly led to a nervous breakdown and the inability to realize their own actions. So, he explained that the harassment consisted of a dismissive attitude and regular reports from commanders that he allegedly violated military regulations while on duty.

On information Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yulia Yatsyk, some time before the tragedy, Ryabchuk prevented a fight between the soldiers at his work and reported the incident to his superiors, who did not take any measures, and as a result, his colleagues began to mock the soldier.

At the same time, the guy deliberately waited for time to get a weapon and take revenge - that is, his actions were based on a plan and cold calculation. In addition, he also killed a woman who had nothing to do with persecution.
