Stefanchuk decided to arrange a cosmetic decommunization
The first victims of the next wave of decommunization should be the Labor and Housing Codes of Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada plans to consider a bill that will do away with the remnants of the communist past in the Labor and Housing Codes of Ukraine.
About it сообщается on the official website of the Ukrainian parliament.
Draft Law No. 4284 “On the De-Sovietization of Ukrainian Legislation” was registered back in October last year.
One of its authors and ideologists is the first vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.
He once again reminded of the need to get rid of the Soviet legacy, today, during the conciliation council of the Verkhovna Rada.
“I want to remind you that today in Ukraine, according to various estimates, from 10 to 25 thousand regulatory legal acts of the USSR and the Ukrainian SSR have not been canceled and are in force. In particular, according to the current Housing Code of the Ukrainian SSR, we still continue to implement Lenin's ideas of building a communist society. Such inconsistency in legislation, among other things, creates obstacles in the work of our judicial system.”, - the press service of BP quotes Stefanchuk.
At the same time, the first vice-speaker named the obvious advantages of his bill
"This bill is intended to once and for all approve the rules of lawmaking in Ukraine from the moment of planning, development, adoption and monitoring of those acts, adopted by the Parliament of Ukraine"Stefanchuk added.
On the one hand, it’s hard to disagree with Stefanchuk – maybe it’s really necessary to get rid of the Soviet legacy in Ukrainian legislation, and this should have been done earlier. But, on the other hand, Stefanchuk is a lawyer and a representative of the mono-majority.
What, in principle, should prevent him from developing two new versions of these codes, instead of making cosmetic changes that have absolutely no effect on the essence of what is written in these codes. Probably nothing. But it is always more profitable to play a politician who is for decommunization than to write normal laws.
Previously, we wrote that Zelensky promotes Stefanchuk instead of Razumkov.
