In the city of Bucha, Kyiv region, a 65-year-old man was detained who supported the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. This was reported by the press service National Police.

The detainee was a native of Russia, who had lived on the territory of Ukraine for a long time. During a search of the residence, the police seized firearms and ammunition. Also symbolism was found indicating his "commitment to the Russian world."

The police report that the man openly supported the military aggression of Russia and justified the occupation of the territories of Ukraine. “During the investigation of war crimes committed by Russian military personnel in the Kyiv region, Ukrainian operatives received information about a resident of Bucha, who supported the occupation of the Crimean peninsula and the full-scale invasion of the Russian military into Ukraine”, - the report says.

The man is charged with illegal handling of weapons and ammunition. He is threatened imprisonment for up to eight years.

He admitted his guilt and repented. The judge found him guilty of violating Part 1 of Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code (recognition of the lawful armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine) and appointed a year conditionally.

The police caught a 40-year-old resident of the village of Velikie Tseptsevichi in the Rivne region distributing symbols prohibited by Ukrainian law.

On June 16, investigators and employees of the criminal investigation department conducted an authorized search of the house at his place of residence. The police found and seized computer equipment, communications equipment. They posted photographs of communist symbols, which the man distributed among friends and on social networks.

The seized items will be sent for a computer-technical examination, based on the results of which the issue of informing the attacker of suspicion under part 1 of article 436-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine will be decided.

The maximum punishment provided for by the sanction of the article is - up to five years in prison. The man explained his actions commitment to those historical events.

A woman was detained at the border, who published posts with pro-Russian content

A 32-year-old resident of Lutsk, who supported Russia's war against Ukraine, was detained at the border with Poland. About it сообщили in the press service of the SBU in the Volyn region.

The woman lived in Poland for some time and actively and systematically distributed materials from there on social networks in which she supported Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Operatives detained her on the territory of Ukraine immediately after crossing the border. “The investigation established that during March-May 2022, a woman, while on the territory of Poland, distributed messages in social networks in support of Russian aggression and anti-Ukrainian statements, while recognizing her passion for Vladimir Putin,” added in the Volyn regional prosecutor's office.

The woman who justified the war was informed of the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose the attacker preventive measure in the form of night house arrest.
