“Ukrainian Execution Lists”: The United States again announced that the Russian Federation plans to kill Ukrainians and send them to camps

US Ambassador to the UN Bathsheba Nell Crocker claims that Russia is allegedly compiling lists of Ukrainians to be killed or sent to camps in the event of an invasion. This follows from published by The Washington Post letterssent to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet.

According to Crocker, further Russian invasion of Ukraine could lead to a human rights disaster. The US ambassador to the UN believes that Russia has allegedly already planned human rights violations against Ukrainians and abuse of these rights after the invasion.

“These actions, which have included targeted killings, abductions/enforced disappearances, unjust detentions and torture in past Russian operations, are likely to target those who oppose Russia’s actions, including Russian and Belarusian dissidents in exile in Ukraine, journalists and anti-corruption activists and vulnerable groups such as religious and ethnic minorities and LGBTQI+ people”, Crocker writes.

Russia, according to the ambassador, Russia is allegedly "lists of Ukrainians who should be killed or sent to camps after the military occupation". Crocker also believes that Russian forces will allegedly use "deadly" methods to disperse protesters to counter resistance from the civilian population of Ukraine.

At the same time, the ambassador does not disclose his sources of information and does not provide direct evidence of the existence of the mentioned list.

The reaction of Russia

Russia responded to the letter at the highest level. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stated: “This is an absolute duck. It's a lie. I know this is a complete fabrication. Such a list does not exist. It's fake".

Position of Ukraine

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov without undue emotion reacted to the information about the execution lists.

“We started receiving these lists quite a long time ago. They are a little strange. We are very calm about many things that we have today.”- said he.

Recall that such military pressure to increase the panic among the local population is being carried out on both sides.
