Beware of scammers: a fake "e-Support" chatbot has been created
In war conditions, swindlers quickly adapt and come up with new schemes to deceive inattentive citizens.

The scammers send out a fake “e-Support” chatbot, referring to the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. About it сообщили at the Disinformation Countermeasures Center.
The JRC notes that disinformation with the following text has begun to spread on the network: "Attention! The Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine explains in what areas, according to the decision of the Government, internally displaced persons can receive state assistance”.
This is followed by a link to a simulated chatbot leading to the fake PrivatBank page.
The JRC emphasizes that in all its messages about payments, the Center did not provide a link to any chatbot, and payments will be made only through the Diya application.
In turn, "Dії" does not have Telegram bots "Epitrumka_bot".
Ukrainians are urged to be careful and trust only trusted sources.
The police bot was also faked
In the National Police сообщилиthat Telegram has created two fake bots of the National Police of Ukraine, one of which is an almost identical copy of the original one.
The police urge Ukrainians to pay close attention to links: usually one or more letters are different in the title, which is difficult to notice when searching.
Actual fraud schemes in the war
What two schemes have appeared recently, and how to protect yourself from them, told in the project of the National Bank Financial Literacy Ukraine.
scammers offer ostensibly intermediary services for obtaining guaranteed compensation Deposit Guarantee Fund. For such services, they ask for a “commission”. The NBU reminds that payments of guaranteed compensation are made only through the Fund's agent banks connected to the Automated Payment System. List of agent banks located on the link.
Guaranteed compensation payment can be received:
- Offline, by contacting a branch of one of the agent banks with a passport and TIN.
- Online. Three agent banks make remote payments: PrivatBank, Ukrgasbank and Pivdenny.
SMS-message on receipt of payment. Fraudsters send SMS messages to bank customers about supposedly receiving a payment to their account. Such SMS messages contain phishing links. You cannot follow such links, because fraudsters can take possession of your card details through them. Fraudulent links can also be sent to steal personal data and infect devices with a virus.
In addition to SMS, scammers can send malicious links in messenger and e-mail.
To protect yourself from Internet fraud, always check the correctness of the name of the sites you go to and where you enter your personal data. The addresses of the real and fraudulent site can be very similar.
If you still need to go to the website of a bank or other organization whose address you received in the link, then it is better to enter the name of the required site in the search engine and only then go to the web resource.
We wrote earlier about new schemes of scammers in the liberated territories and told that in the Lviv region, branded shoes were imported under the guise of humanitarian aid.
