New Year with restrictions: there is no hurry to cancel comchas in Ukraine even for one night

Inexorably approaching New Year and despite the war constant shelling and significant interruptions in electricity, heating and water, Ukrainians are worried about how the holidays will be held in wartime. First of all, this concerns restrictions related to the curfew, which is in effect in all regions of Ukraine, except for the Transcarpathian region.

Literally from December 5 curfew in Kharkiv region was shortened. Head of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov announced that the decision had been made due to numerous requests representatives of business, life support enterprises, transport workers, etc.

Also from December 13 restrictions have been reduced and Krivoy Rog. Most likely, this duration will continue in new year's eve.

Head of the Rivne OVA Vitaly Koval said that the authorities do not plan to ease the curfew on New Year's Eve. At the same time, the Defense Council still intends to discuss this issue.

As for capitals and regions, then the cancellation of the komchas on the New Year has not yet been reported either, however, 12 December A petition appeared on the website of the Kyiv City Council, in which residents asked to lift restrictions on the night of December 31 to January 1. Nearly 2 people have signed the petition so far. To be considered by the Kyiv authorities, it must collect a total of 6 signatures.

However, today the mayor of Kyiv Viali Klitschko сообщил that on the eve of the New Year holidays in the capital, it was decided to open two metro stations that had not been working since the beginning of the war.

"Tomorrow we will open two stations of the capital's metro - "Maidan Nezalezhnosti" and "Khreshchatyk" - and the transition between them. These stations have been closed since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Russia, " – wrote Klitschko.

Recall that this year Ukrainians will not have three additional days off on New Year's holidays, since they are not provided for during martial law.
