This has never happened before, and here it is again: in Ukraine they want to put Yanukovych on the Interpol wanted list

Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych want to put him on the international wanted list through the Interpol database. About it said director of NABU Artyom Sytnik, reports "UNN".

So, according to the head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, at the moment, the Ukrainian court has arrested the fugitive president in absentia for the umpteenth time. Now, Sytnik is sure, there is every reason to petition for Yanukovych to be put on the international wanted list through Interpol. At the same time, he immediately self-critically declares that it is still a “big question” whether this will have any success.

“The arrest in absentia of Yanukovych was initiated… Next, we will try to put Interpol on the wanted list, how successful this will be is a big question”- said Sytnik.

Recall that the next trial in absentia of the ex-head of state took place in Kyiv on August 2. We are about him wrote in detail. Yanukovych is accused of a whole "bouquet" of serious criminal offenses, among which there is treason. In addition, the prosecution considers him guilty of corruption, illegal seizure of Mezhyhirya, organization of a criminal group, executions in Kyiv in 2014, etc. In addition, they want to put his eldest son on the international wanted list. Alexander Yanukovych.

Note that the fourth president of Ukraine has already been wanted by Interpol for several years. In 2015, he was put on the wanted list of the international police on charges of misappropriation and embezzlement of property committed on an especially large scale or as part of an organized group. However, already in the same year, Interpol suspended the investigation, because it found signs of political persecution. And in 2017, the fugitive president was officially removed from the wanted list.

Nevertheless, the Ukrainian justice, having already received once a “click on the nose” from their foreign colleagues, for some reason again initiates a search for the head of state who fled to Russia. Most likely, Interpol will not want to re-investigate the previously investigated case, or, as a result, will refuse to put Yanukovych on the wanted list. This is acknowledged by Sytnik himself. Even if, by some miracle, the situation changes and the international police officially demand that Russia extradite the fugitive president, Moscow will not do this, because the Russian constitution provides for the primacy of national legislation over international law - and from the point of view of justice of the Russian Federation, Yanukovych is not guilty of anything . I mean, it's definitely a failure.

Why is this being done? Obviously, this is an imitation of violent activity, as well as a distraction of the attention of the country and the people from the real problems that exist in the state.

Previously we wrote that Poroshenko called Zelensky "dense Yanukovych."
