Drunk assistant to ex-deputy from Rivne knocked down a serviceman to death (PHOTO)

On January 2, at about 3:00 on Sobornaya Street, an Audi driver knocked down a pedestrian at high speed and fled the scene. Later it turned out that the person behind the wheel has a certificate of a consultant of the regional people's choice of the previous convocation. True, it is not specified who exactly. Local police сообщаетthat the patrolmen themselves witnessed the accident. They immediately called an ambulance to the victim, and another crew went after the fugitive. A car dented in front was stopped on Doroshenko Street.

The driver, a 24-year-old resident of the village of Barmaki, and his passenger were pretty drunk and behaved aggressively. The police had to put them in handcuffs.

A little later it turned out that the downed man was a 27-year-old serviceman from Kostopol. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save him. He died a few hours after being hospitalized.
"A resident of Barmakov has been detained. The issue of notifying him of suspicion and choosing a measure of restraint is being decided," - says the press service of the National Police.
According to the legislation of Ukraine, for violating traffic rules while intoxicated, resulting in the death of a person, threatens from 5 to 10 years in prison.
