In the Zhytomyr region, a teacher will be tried who denied the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and called the executions of civilians in Bucha near Kyiv staged plots.

Zhytomyr prosecutors sent to court an indictment against a local resident on the fact of public calls to support the decisions and actions of the aggressor state, reported June 17 Press Service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

“A teacher of the Ukrainian language in one of the schools in Zhytomyr, during a meeting of the methodological association of linguist teachers, convinced her colleagues that there was no war in Ukraine, but a “military special operation” of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, which provide assistance to the “brotherly” Ukrainian people, - the report says.

The defendant claimed that the Ukrainian media misinform the population about the consequences of Russian occupation in cities and villages. On this fact, investigators opened criminal proceedings under Article 111-1 (public denial of armed aggression against Ukraine and a public call for support for the decisions and actions of the aggressor state) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The materials of the case were submitted to the court.

The mayor of the temporarily occupied Volchansk was suspected of treason

The Ukrainian investigation reported suspicions to the mayor of the temporarily occupied Volchansk, Kharkiv region, because of his cooperation with the Russian occupiers. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General on June 15.

Law enforcers reported suspicion to a citizen of Kiev on the fact of distribution of materials justifying and recognizing the lawful armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. It is reported by the Kyiv city prosecutor's office in Facebook.

“Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv city prosecutor’s office, a 40-year-old resident of the capital was suspected of distributing materials that contained the justification, recognition of lawful and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (part 2 of article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)”, - the report says.

It is noted that, according to the materials of the investigation, after the beginning of the invasion of the Russian Armed Forces into the territory of Ukraine, realizing the illegal nature of his own actions, he registered an account in the Odnoklassniki social network banned in Ukraine in order to post and distribute pro-Russian materials.

So, in the period from February to April 2022, the suspect posted and reposted on his account publications that, in their content, justified and recognized the lawful armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our country, and also glorified its participants, the Kyiv city prosecutor's office reports.

These publications were available to an unlimited range of users of the above social network. The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the SU GU NP in Kyiv.
