Found USSR passports and a lot of money, 50 people checked on a polygraph: results of SBU searches in more than 350 church buildings of the UOC

Yesterday, the SBU began conducting large-scale searches in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and the premises of the UOC in other regions, which we talked about in more detail in the link material. And today in the SBU unveiled the results of these searches.

So, searches were carried out in the territories:

• Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra in Kyiv;
• Koretsky Holy Trinity Monastery;
• in the premises of the Sarnensko-Polesye diocese of the UOC in the Rivne region.

In general, the SBU, together with the National Police and the National Guard, checked more than 350 church buildings and 850 people.

More 50 people went through in-depth counterintelligence interviews, including using a polygraph. Among them were not only citizens of Ukraine, but also foreigners, including citizens of Russia, who were on the territory of church facilities.

Some of the documents checked during the verification provided passports and military IDs of the USSR, did not have original documents at all, but only their copies, or had passports of citizens of Ukraine with signs of forgery or damage. These people are currently being investigated in depth.

Also on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra was a 32-year-old citizen of Ukraine, who, according to the SBU, may be involved in illegal activities in Ukraine, the Antvan news agency, whose activities are characterized by the SBU as pro-Russian. At the same time, he is a trustee of the owner of the Russian company of the same name "ANTVAN GROUP" - a citizen of Russia Orlova A.V., which owned a number of land plots and catering establishments in Ukraine. Currently, this property has been seized as part of criminal proceedings.

In addition, the SBU reported that during the searches they found:

• pro-Russian literatureused in teaching at the seminary and parochial schools, including for the promotion of the "Russian world";

• cash for a total amount of more than UAH 2 million, more than 100 thousand US dollars and several thousand Russian rubles.

It is reported that all the collected materials will be transferred for appropriate expert research.
