In Germany, a dormitory building for Ukrainian refugees burned down in the village of Gross-Strömckendorf near the city of Wismar in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This is reported spiegel.

The local police said that the fire expert should determine the exact cause of the fire, but they are considering arson as the main version. "Based on my many years of experience as a firefighter, I now assume that the fire was deliberately set."- he confirmed the version of the police.

He also said that "shocked" this incident, since earlier in the district he did not notice “no sign of right-wing activity.”

Schmidt noted that the municipality has very good relations with Ukrainian refugees and at times this hostel, which was previously a hotel, housed up to 170 people from Ukraine.
