Gasoline disappeared at gas stations: why did this happen and what is the reason for the fuel shortage?

Director of Consulting Group "A-95" Sergey Kuyun reported that there was a shortage of gasoline and diesel fuel at the filling stations of some retail chains. Record imports in December did not help to keep the situation. He wrote about this in his Facebook.

We are talking about the filling stations "BRSM-Nafta" and "Ukrnafta". In total, these companies own almost 750 gas stations, that is, they occupy more than 15% of the market.

Kuyun noted that due to the lack of fuel at these gas stations, there is a short-term shortage of gasoline and diesel at other gas stations. At the same time, the expert stressed that the local deficit is not related to fuel supply problems. According to Kuyun, in December, the volume of imports of gasoline increased by 30%, and diesel fuel - by 25% compared to the summer months.

"There is no excitement, half of the operating stations are empty waiting for buyers. Therefore, there is no systemic problem either. We are talking about local circumstances and fakups," he explains.
