Two Russian missiles are slowly but surely turning into one Ukrainian: statements, comments and details on the incident
NATO and Warsaw say the missile that hit Poland yesterday was fired from Ukraine, while Danilov claims he can prove a "Russian trace"

Conclusions Western and European experts about yesterday rocket hit one of the farms in Poland already unequivocally say that it was a tragic accident, and not military aggression, which yesterday, without waiting for official information, some countries hastened to condemn. But it seems that to of Russia if this projectile is related, then indirectly.
Back in the morning, after numerous consultations about the missile incident in Poland was told that they were going to initiate the convening of the NATO Council in accordance with article 4 of the main treaty an alliance that states that if any member state feels a threat to its territorial integrity and sovereignty, it can initiate consultations with other member states within NATO. Wherein there was definitely no talk of applying the fifth article of the treaty.
But later in Poland they said that after finding out the details of the fall of the rocket, the need for the application of the fourth article has disappeared. This was announced by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
“I can say that most of the evidence we have collected so far indicates that perhaps the application of Article 4 will not be necessary this time. But this tool is always in our hands. We are clarifying the prerequisites for its application”- said the Polish prime minister.
After the meeting of the Polish government with the General Staff and responsible services, the situation commented and the president of the country Andrzej Duda. According to him, the missile crash was not a deliberate attack.
"There is nothing to indicate that this was a deliberate attack on Poland. The fact that a missile fell on our territory was not a deliberate act. This missile was not aimed at Poland," Duda said.
According to him, Poland has no evidencethat a rocket that fell in the east of the country was issued by Russia, moreover, Duda noted that a lot indicates that the projectile belongs Air defense of Ukraine.
"Most likely, it was a Russian-made missile, produced in the 1970s, type S-300. There is a high probability that it was a missile that served as anti-missile defense, was used by the Ukrainian defense forces", - he said.
Similar assumptions were made in NATO. In particular, the Secretary General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberganswering journalists' questions following the results emergency meeting of NATO ambassadors saidthat, according to preliminary data, the rocket that fell on the territory of Poland could be released by the Ukrainian air defense system.
“There is no indication that a deliberate attack took place. There is no indication that Russia is preparing military action against NATO. Our initial analysis indicates that the incident was caused by a Ukrainian air defense missile fired from Ukrainian territory in response to a Russian cruise missile attack. But I must say frankly - this is not the fault of Ukraine"- said the Secretary General of the Alliance.
In addition, Stoltenberg added that NATO will not disclose its contacts with Russia for the last 24 hours, however, the parties maintain channels of communication.
The fact that the shell that fell on the Polish-Ukrainian border was released by Ukrainian air defense also told NATO and G7 partners the President of the United States Joe Biden. About this, referring to a source in the Alliance, wrote Reuters.
Commented on the missile attack on the territory of Poland and the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. He calls for a thorough investigation, but in any case does not remove responsibility for what happened to the Russian Federation.
"The horrific missile strike in Poland must be thoroughly investigated. It's good that NATO members are quickly gathering their thoughts. One thing is clear: none of this would have happened without Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine," Scholz said.
However, the German government stated that Germany and NATO partners, as before, don't consider the possibility of introducing no-fly zone on the territory of Ukraine.
In turn, Lithuania, which yesterday, together with Estonia, declared its readiness to "defend every inch of NATO territory" from Russian aggression, today somewhat softened the rhetoric and spoke for the deployment of air defense systems on the border of Poland and Ukraine, as well as along the entire eastern flank of NATO. This was announced by the President of Lithuania Gitanas Naudesa.
In Ukraine, they categorically deny their involvement in the fall of the rocket on Polish territory. Yes, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov demanded to provide, firstly, information on the basis of which NATO and Warsaw declared that Poland had been struck ukrainian rocket, and secondly, access to the site of the explosion in Poland to representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"We are in favor of a joint study of the incident with the fall of a missile in Poland. We are ready to transfer the evidence we have of the Russian trace. We are waiting for information from our partners, on the basis of which it was concluded that this was a Ukrainian air defense missile," - he said.
We advocate for a joint examination of the incident with the missile's landing in Poland. We are ready to hand over evidence of the Russian trace that we have. We are expecting information from our partners, based on which a conclusion was made that it's a 🇺🇦 air defense missile.

And the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba in conversation with the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called for a tough response to the incident.
Supports the Ukrainian side in this situation and Ambassador of Poland to the EU Andrzej SadoszWhich saidthat all EU countries blame Russia for the missile incident.
But in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation statedthat Russian specialists of the military-industrial complex, based on photographs wreckage found in Przewodów unambiguously identified them as elements of an anti-aircraft guided Ukrainian Air Force S-300 missiles.
The Russian Defense Ministry added that "high-precision strikes were carried out on targets only on the territory of Ukraine and at a distance of no closer than 35 km from the Ukrainian-Polish border."
