Big Fake Day? Resonant snags appeared on the network
The hackers did their best
On September 23, two loud and resonant news spread across the network. The first concerned the death of eight Americans on the territory of a military training ground. In turn, the second is the release of radioactive substances at the Rovno NPP.
Later it became known that both stuffing turned out to be just fakes.
The death of officers in the Kherson region
Kherson media reported that eight American officers were killed on the territory of the Oleshkovsky military training ground.
The publications referred to the head of the local police department, who said that the accident occurred with American military advisers. They allegedly followed the course of the exercises.
According to the information, an artillery shell hit the bunker where the officers were, and all eight people died on the spot.
In turn, within an hour, the police of the Kherson region published a refutation on Facebook.
- Today at 11:45 on the official website of the GUNP in the Kherson region, the information appeared "In the Kherson region, the police are investigating the circumstances of the death of American military advisers" We officially announce that this information is fake and does not correspond to reality, - wrote the press service of the police.
Radiation release at the Rovno NPP
Almost at the same time, information appeared on the website of the police of the Rivne region and on the official website of the city council that a state of emergency was introduced in Varash and residents were being evacuated due to the release of radioactive substances at the third power unit of the local nuclear power plant.
It was reported that on September 23, during the scheduled anti-terrorist exercises at the third power unit of the Rovno NPP, there was a short-term blackout of the station, including the failure of backup power supplies.
In addition, information has spread that the cloud with radioactive fallout is moving in the northern and northwestern directions.
However, the press secretary of the National Police in the Rivne region, Maria Yustitskaya, said that this news cannot be trusted.
It is known that hackers hacked the website of the police and the Varash City Council. At the same time, fakes were also denied on the NPP Facebook page.
- In connection with the dissemination of misinformation on the Internet regarding the emergency situation at the Rivne NPP and the evacuation of residents of the satellite city, we inform you that as of 12:30 RNPP power units No. 1, 2, 3 are operating normally, and power unit No. 4 from 6 September is in the middle scheduled preventive maintenance.
There were no violations of the limits and conditions of safe operation. The radiation, fire-prevention and ecological state at the RNPP and the adjacent territory has not changed and is within the limits of the current standards, - said in a statement.
It is noteworthy that on the official website of the Varash City Council, the hackers made one mistake, what it means, you can figure out for yourself.
