Former Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Krivonos stated, that the losses of Ukraine in the war against Russia already amount to hundreds of thousands of people.

“I clearly understand that what we survived in February, March and April is just not because the authorities did something, but because the people organized themselves and did it without waiting for any commands. And this is precisely our great achievement, and this is our right to say to the authorities: why didn’t you do anything, why dozens, and already we understand that hundreds of thousands of dead - why did they die? Why did they die, what did you do to save their lives and our independence? The stories that this is untimely are an attempt to blur the memory, erase history, and how can you erase the blood of the dead, who already number in the hundreds of thousands. Who will be responsible for this?" Krivonos said.

According to the general, soon the Ukrainian population "will start asking the authorities why such colossal sacrifices were made."

“The authorities reassure us, tell us that everything is fine, but, for some reason, it’s good, and we have already lost 20% of our territory. And in order to free them, more than one hundred thousand of our citizens will die for this independence. This is not criticism - it is our right, as free people, to ask the authorities why you allowed this before, why you made it so that we are now responsible for your lack of professionalism and inaction in a mild formulation, we pay for it with our own blood. Let them tell this to those who have already buried their sons - they no longer believe in it, and never will. And they will ask questions to those who lie to our citizens - they will be asked questions in their eyes, live someday, why did my son or husband die, and you remained alive? This is a terrible question, and someday they will start asking it live. ”, - summed up Krivonos.

It should be noted that most recently, Major General Sergei Krivonos, commander of the defense Kyiv airport "Zhulyany", said that criminal proceedings were opened against him.

"I expect one of these days a poll ГБР. It will be determined there that they are incriminating me ... They did not meet me halfway - I am just learning to walk after a complex operation. It doesn't stop them. The political order needs to be done quickly,” – says Krivonos in a comment LIGA.net.

The General Staff also confirmed that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny from the beginning of the war, he appointed Sergei Krivonos as the head of the defense of the Kyiv airport. But only as a volunteer.

"Thus, the public statements of Serhiy Krivonos about the influence of the President of Ukraine on the pre-trial investigation bodies, his dismissal from military service are not true and have signs of discrediting the top military-political leadership of the state, which is unacceptable during the legal regime of martial law”- says in the message of the General Staff.
