It will be dark, but warm: blackouts continue in Ukraine, because of which people are afraid of losing their jobs, problems have begun even abroad
To stabilize the energy system in the country, they began to turn on heating.

As a result of new Russian shelling of the Ukrainian energy system, problems with electricity continue in Ukraine, and in some areas it has not yet been possible to restore its supply.
What's going on in the energy sector?
According to the deputy head of the OP Kirill Timoshenko, in general, due to shelling this weekend, 2,7 million subscribers were left without electricity, but by yesterday evening this figure had been reduced to 1,3 million.
On communication Head of Ukrenergo Vladimir Kudritsky, the situation remains difficult in the Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions, as well as in some settlements of the Khmelnytsky and Rivne regions.
And the minister of energy German Galushchenko saidthat due to the war, Ukraine’s losses in wind energy are 90%, and the amount of electricity produced by solar panels has decreased by almost 50%, that is, this industry has suffered the most. Before the war, 11% of the country's entire energy sector was precisely green, by 2030 it was planned to increase this figure to at least 25%.
Shutdown schedules are available, but do not work
Electricity providers report that stabilization shutdown schedules continue to apply. However, many Ukrainians massively complain that these schedules do not correspond to the real state of affairs: some people do not have electricity when it should be, and some people do not turn it off when there is a shutdown according to the plan. For example, in Irpin yesterday there was no electricity from 10 am to 17 pm, about which the residents were not warned.
In this regard, DTEK explained that they are turning off the lines that produce a certain capacity, therefore, in fact, it is not always possible to strictly adhere to the schedules, but due to an imbalance in the energy system duration of stabilization shutdowns can exceed 4 hours. They also added that if, according to the shutdown schedule, if there is no light at home, there is a possibility that an accident occurred on the electrical equipment.
At the same time, some subscribers have no electricity for more than a day.
This situation is extremely outrageous for Ukrainians working remotely, who fear that due to such shutdowns they may lose their jobs.
Dark but warm
Как said the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal, in Ukraine, despite the shelling, the heating season has already begun. In most cities.
“Now we have about 14,2 billion cubic meters of gas in gas storage facilities, and this is absolutely enough to get through this winter stably» - the official added.
With this in Kiev about a third of residential buildings have already begun to heat. Kyiv is the first to be connected due to the fact that it is a huge metropolis, and with the onset of cold weather, the people of Kiev began to actively turn on heaters, which led to a jump in power consumption and a significant increase in loads on the energy system. In general, residents of the entire capital are promised to turn on the heat before the end of this week.
Recall that in the United States, through USAID, they promised to provide Ukraine with $55 million in investment in Ukraine's heating infrastructure to help the country prepare for winter.
In Moldova - problems with light
Moldova received 30% of electricity from Ukraine, and after Ukraine stopped exporting it due to Russian shelling, there was a shortage of electricity in the country. Residents of Moldova are urged to save money, and the country's government is looking for new electricity suppliers. About it пишет Moldovan press.
And the Minister of Infrastructure of Moldova Andrei Spinu appealed to all companies and businesses to turn off decorative lighting, advertising, change hours of operation and use generators where possible. However, no power outages are planned for the time being.
The start of electricity supplies to Romania on October 13 could not help cover the deficit. Moldova intends to purchase the rest on the balancing market or under emergency assistance agreements that it intends to conclude with power grid operators in neighboring countries.
Recall that this Saturday, October 22, the Russian Federation again carried out a massive rocket attack on the energy system of Ukraine, as a result of which facilities in the Volyn, Rivne, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Zaporozhye, Odessa and Nikolaev regions were damaged.
We also wrote about how Ukrainians can get 6660 hryvnias from an American fund, and told that Ukrainians may be left without pensions and salaries.
